Full time intensive 7 years course
A full time program in Arabic and Islamic Studies designed to provide students with strongly knowledge of the Islamic sciences. It aims to foster an intellectual and spiritual growth within all who undertake it. The course duration is 5-6 years, depending on the student’s initial proficiency in Arabic and basic Islamic knowledge. It provides an in-depth study of the Islamic way of life, focusing on core areas including Qurān with Tajwīd, classical Arabic language, the fundamentals of Islamic law (Fiqh), Creed (‘Aqīdah), and History (Sīrah and Tārīkh). The latter half of the course focuses on the translation and Tafsīr of the Qur’ān and Ḥadīth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In the final years, students cover the laws of Inheritance and Usūl (principles) of Fiqh and Ḥadīth, and an intense study and completion of the “The Six Authentic Collections” of Ḥadīth (As-Sihah As-Sittah). After completing the program, students are granted an ijāzah or authorization to transmit the knowledge of the subjects they have completed in the Alimiyyah program.
